An Adventurous Elopement and Celebration in NB

December 21, 2019

A two part celebration: An Adventurous Elopement and Celebration in New Brunswick

Part one – A intimate and adventurous elopement on Ministers Face on Long Island in NB

I still remember the day we got Kirstens email, inquiring with us to shoot her and Colins elopement and celebration. The words EPIC, outdoors and rain or shine came to mind. Her and Colin had recently just gotten engaged in-front of a waterfall in Costa Rica so we know they were the real deal. As the plans came together we knew that their adventurous elopement and celebration in New Brunswick was going to be exactly how they hoped.

Plans got changed a few times, and there were a few bumps in the road when it came to execution, but the day turned out to be just what they hoped for: EPIC.

There are not really any words that we could use that would successfully describe how incredible the day really was. It was so THEM. So personal, every little detail, every word, it was truly amazing. And that’s our favourite thing about elopements and tiny weddings, its all about YOU! They can be exactly what you want them to be.

So here’s the adventure of a lifetime, we hope you enjoy.

Part 2 – Celebration with Friends & Family at The Cornerstone, Saint John New Brunswick

This wedding was such a special one, Kirsten and Colin came to the decision that they wanted a EPIC wedding and ceremony but didn’t want their family and friends to feel left out. K+C’s compromise to this was having the ceremony they so badly wanted and then holding a celebration the weekend after.

One of the coolest parts was that they were able to relive the ceremony. Kirsten, being a videographer, was able to make her highlight reel for the following weekend. Tears were shed and everyone was able to hear the most beautiful vows being said, once again.

K + C chose to hold the celebration at the Cornerstone in Saint John, New Brunswick. WOW! What a beautiful location this was! The owners purchased an old church and renovated it to be the most beautiful space for weddings and events.

One of the best things about this wedding is that K + C decorated almost the entire venue with pieces from their home and parts of nature. Everything about their day was so personalized. Photos from the ceremony were up in various places in the venue. Their dessert was homemade by family members and all of the place cards were hand-written by the bride. The pictures speak for themselves, but these two made is so clear that decor doesn’t have to be fancy or cost you a ton of money. All you need to do it keep it true to you and thats as easy as bringing each and every houseplant you own to decorate the space.
